We found a listing for La Villeneuve which said it was pretty good but we were completely unprepared for the kiddy paradise we found on arrival! It is a wonderful place, very safe and although it aims to cater for children it is also a peaceful and pleasant environment for adults as all the childrens activities are far enough away to not disturb and close enough to be safe. The pool is so clean and well maintained and the recent addition of a full size bouncy castle is genius! Although it is worth noting that it is switched off for a period during the day during the weekdays so that the parents can actually drag their children out of the complex to do something else, very well considered! David and Judith are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The are very unobtrusive and allow you to relax but they are there when ever you need them. They also throw a mean barbeque... We stumbled upon a real gem when we found La Villeneuve. If your children are happy then generally you are happy. David and Judith have got such an amazing set up, everything is so well thought out for children and parents. The surrounding area and beaches are great too. I strongly suspect we shall return sometime soon or our children will never forgive us!! Loads to do for any age children - lots of space. We spent a week there in June and enjoyed every minute of it, from the moment we arrived until leaving to catch the ferry home. David and Judith are fantastic hosts, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Our 3 year old daughter had a wonderful time playing in the huge play areas with the great selection of toys and games, or swimming in the pool, playing in the woods and playing with the other kids. We always said that there are so many places to see in the world we would never go back to the same place twice. Forget that! We have already booked to go back next year - only this time for 2 weeks! We had two wonderful weeks at la-villneuve in June and definately intend to go back. The cottages are light, bright and clean and just perfect for a family comprising a 4 year old and 2 year old twins. The outdoor areas are fantastic for young ones (and old ones for that matter) and are kids were always happy whether it was splashing in the pool, playing with the many toys or searching for chocolates in the woods! I can say all this despite the fact that one of the twins broke his thigh bone very early in the holiday! David and Judiths support during this time was both compassionate and essential for us to get through the 2 weeks that are son had to spend in hospital. I am unable to thank them enough for the lifts,babysitting,loan of a tv/video and constant support they gave us that enabled us to have a holiday in extremely trying circumstances. The site and the facilities are first class, but David and Judith run much more than a holiday complex as they make you feel completely at home and are the perfect hosts.
